Some nights, I just want to make a good homemade dinner without spending forever in the kitchen or creating a mountain of dishes afterward. And this creamy garlic chicken and veggie skillet was exactly what I needed!
I made this for dinner the other night, and it turned out SO good. Tender chicken, fresh green beans, juicy cherry tomatoes, and a creamy garlic sauce with feta cheese. Everything comes together in one pan, which is always a win in my book.
It’s simple, full of flavor, and made with ingredients you may already have in your kitchen.
Why You’ll Love This Creamy Garlic Chicken Skillet
- One-pan cleanup: Because nobody wants a sink full of dishes after dinner.
- Simple ingredients: Nothing fancy or complicated.
- Packed with flavor: Garlic, Italian seasoning, and feta make the creamy sauce delicious.
- Easy to customize: You can serve it on its own or pair it with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.

- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes

How to Make This Creamy Garlic Chicken Skillet
Step 1: Season and Cook the Chicken
Cut your chicken tenderloins into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Heat a little olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chicken and cook until nicely browned, then transfer it to a plate while you prepare the vegetables. The chicken will finish cooking when you add it back to the skillet.
Step 2: Cook the Green Beans and Onion
In the same skillet, add your diced onion and fresh green beans.
Pour in the chicken broth, cover, and let everything cook for about 4–5 minutes to help soften the green beans.
I love that the vegetables cook in the same pan because they pick up all that flavor from the chicken.
Step 3: Add Garlic and Tomatoes
Add the minced garlic and cherry tomatoes.
Cook for a few more minutes, stirring occasionally, until the garlic is fragrant and the tomatoes begin to soften and burst.
Step 4: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
Turn the heat down to low.
Pour in the half-and-half and stir in the crumbled feta cheese.
Stir gently until everything comes together into a creamy sauce. Keep the heat low and avoid boiling so the dairy doesn’t separate. The feta may stay slightly crumbly, which is perfectly fine.
Step 5: Add the Chicken Back In
Return your chicken to the skillet and stir everything together.
Let it simmer gently until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
And that’s it! A delicious, creamy chicken dinner made in one pan.
What to Serve With It
I ate this without pasta, and it was delicious just the way it was!
But if you want to make it a little more filling, you could serve it with:
- Rice
- Pasta
- Mashed potatoes
- Warm, crusty bread
The creamy garlic sauce would be delicious with any of them.

A Few Helpful Tips
Don’t overcook the chicken. Cutting it into bite-sized pieces helps it cook quickly, so keep an eye on it.
Use fresh garlic if you have it. It adds so much flavor to the sauce.
Keep the heat low when adding the cream. This helps keep the sauce smooth instead of separating.
Adjust the sauce to your liking. If it’s too thick, add a splash of chicken broth. If it’s too thin, let it simmer gently for another minute or two.
An Easy Dinner Worth Making Again
This is definitely one of those meals I’ll be adding to our dinner rotation. It’s easy enough for a busy weeknight but tastes like something that took a lot more effort.
And the best part? Only one pan to clean!
